If you have a 2020 - 2022 3.0 Duramax Diesel and are experiencing engine oil consumption, you may have a simple fix. Simple, being a loosely used term.

I contacted my dealership and they said this could be a risky cause of my oil consumption. Apparently they send the parts to GM to test whether the weld is faulty or not. Is there a way to test this weld without disassembling the motor?
